Forex reserves rise to record $18.31 billion

A senior official in the State Bank of Pakistan's reserves of foreign currencies rose to a record high of $ 18310000000 in the week ending July 30, until the life of the previous high of 18.3 billion dollars a week before the strike on Thursday - KARACHI

Stock market sheds another 95 points

KARACHI - landed at the Karachi stock market to its lowest level in three months on Thursday, with the decline in global equity and local investors cautious and concerned about security in Karachi and sold shares.

Doctors to sensitize barbers about Hepatitis C risks

Karachi—Doctors comprising members of SMC Alumni Association has taken upon themselves to sensitize barbers as well as beauticians, in Karachi, to protect themselves against Hepatitis B and C.

Dr. Natasha Mustafa, Coordinator of the Campaign told APP Friday that beauticians and barbers are also being approached to bring about extremely important changes in handling of their clients.“This is very important as many a time unassuming people hold chance to contract Hepatitis C and B and even HIV infections during minor cuts experienced during shave or hair cut at a barber’s shop,” she said. The young doctor also referred to vulnerability of people undergoing pedi-cure or mani-cure due to poor hygienic practices. Re-use of sharp tools, though obsolete, but still used for skin cleaning purposes in many of the beauty parlors, is also a risk that is often ignored, said Dr. Natasha.

KSE timings during Ramazan

Karachi - and trading of shares in the Stock Exchange Karachi Stock Exchange will continue from 9:15 to 2:00 Monday to Thursday under the Katz during the month of Ramadan. On Friday, trading will be held 9:00 to 1:00.
According to the Kuwait Stock Exchange here Wednesday, the time before the opening 9:00 to 9:15.
Will be the timing of the exchange office 9:30 to 15:30 from Monday to Thursday and 8:45 to 3:30 on Friday.
Market Square will be held between 11 up to 11:30 in the market, while negotiating a deal (NDM) the timing will be 9:00 to 3:30 Monday to Thursday and 15:00 to 9:30 on Friday.

Of Pakistani rupees from a record low due to failure to pay the 86.58 oil

KARACHI: Pakistani rupee fell to a record high on Wednesday on strong demand for the dollar in payments for oil imports, traders said they expected the currency to weaken further in the coming days.


Rupee ended at 86.56/58 per dollar, weaker than Tuesday's close of 86.40/42. "The rupee-dollar up to 86.58 against the dollar," said a trader at a foreign bank. Rupee last hit a record low in May, at 86.50. Traders said the dollar payments are usually higher in the months of July and August due to stronger demand for oil and debt payments. As well as payments for oil, and the International Monetary Fund suspended aid to Pakistan is also considering the rupee. International Monetary Fund has criticized the government for implementation of the incomplete tax reforms and hindered the sixth tranche of the loan program $ 11 billion since August of last year.

The International Monetary Fund and Pakistan is scheduled to meet officials of this month but was postponed the meeting, and announced a new date.

Afridi "disappointed" with comments by Ijaz Butt

The former coach of the national team of the cricket captain Shahid Afridi said on Saturday he was disappointed by the criticism of his leadership of the cricket of Pakistan Board (PCB) Chairman Ijaz Butt, who accused him of causing the loss of the team for matches against West Indies in May:

Ministers of the MQM to resignations

Ministers of the MQM in Karachi, the federal and provincial submitted their resignations today. Although the PPP won (PPP) Azad Kashmir elections, but lost one of its coalition partners, plans to Karachi and the MQM.

Posted federal minister, Dr. Farooq Sattar, Babar Ghauri,  and Dr. Nadeem Ehsan  their resignations to Prime Minister, while the Minister of the province, Faisal Sabzwari Rauf Siddiqui, Gabol Nadia Sheikh Muhammad Afzal, Muhammad Ali Shah, Shoaib Bukhari, Aaron Reza, Adil Siddiqui and Zubair Ahmed Khan, Abdul Haseeb, Dr. Ahmed Al-Saghir, Syed Sardar Ahmed Nizar Ahmed Creator and personally presented their resignations to Nizar Khuhro acting governor.
