U.S. Secretary of State hopes from Pakistan to take decisive action against militants


Islamabad, May 27. Visitor of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Friday that the U.S. hopes Pakistan to take decisive action against militants in the coming days -Speaking to reporters after meeting with the Pakistani political and military leaders in Islamabad, said Hillary Clinton, Osama bin Laden is dead, but al-Qaeda still poses a serious threat."They target people in Pakistan and Afghanistan and anywhere in the world al-Qaida has a safe heaven here in Pakistan. Vicious terrorists were living in Pakistan over the past decades, and operated from here," said Hillary Clinton.Clinton said "There is no evidence to suggestthat any one at the top level in the Pakistani government knew that the Osama bin Laden had been living just miles from Islamabad."She added that the two sides also discussed the investigation
in the network who were supporting Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, adding that the Pakistani government and the U.S. delegation stressed that the investigation is ongoing.U.S. Secretary of State also said that the U.S. side said the Pakistani leaders that they will share with the Pakistani investigators information about persons who have been supporting and facilitating al Qaeda leader.He disclosed that the U.S. authorities got access to the compound of Osama bin Laden in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad and witnesses in the region. She thanked the Pakistani army and intelligence in order to allow U.S. investigators to visit the compound, kill Osama Laden in the trappings of May 2.She said that Pakistani leaders told her that no one participated in the government to house the leader of al Qaeda and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and said that al Qaeda was behind the assassination of his wife Benazir Bhutto. Benazir Bhutto was killed in a shooting in December 2007."We both had captured many of the men of al Qaeda in Pakistan and this was not possible without the cooperation of Pakistan," said U.S. Secretary of State."Required a lot of work remains urgent, we have discussed in detail to dismantle al Qaeda and their expulsion from Pakistan and the region, and we will do our part, and we ask Pakistan to take decisive action in the future to make Pakistan and the United States safe," she said.About Pakistan's role in reconciliation efforts in Afghanistan, Clinton said that Pakistan should be part of that process, he said, adding that many of the Afghans living in Pakistan and Pakistan has a legitimate interest must be taken into account their interests."We looked at the perspective of Pakistan on Afghanistan to support the international community in Afghanistan," she said, and described the process as it is very important tripartite, including Afghanistan and Pakistan and the United States.She said two of the recent tripartite meeting in Islamabad and Kabul were very important towards the reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
