Pledged to the United Kingdom and Pakistan, to counter militancy: Zardari meets Cameron

Agreed Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Friday that both countries will continue to work together to counter extremism and promote peace in the region.
At a meeting in 10 Downing Street in London, the two leaders welcomed the ongoing cooperation between the UK and Pakistani governments to counter extremism and violence and extremism. The meeting was attended also chairman of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Briefing the media, said presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said the two leaders had a consensus view that terrorism is the enemy number one to them.
Pakistan appreciates the continued support of the United Kingdom, and praised the role played by Britain in seeking a trade deal to Pakistan from the European Union (EU). Cameron confirmed that his country will continue to provide support to Pakistan in order to reach the largest market of the European Union and the institutionalization of the mechanism of the summit of Pakistan and the European Union. The Prime Minister said that the UK stands with Pakistan to combat the threat of terrorism.
He added that Britain was committed to increasing the "mutual cooperation through dialogue, national security," and education program in the United Kingdom to Pakistan would help get more than four million children in schools and help recruit and train 90,000 teachers.
