Suicide bomber hits funeral of Karzai's brother

"The explosion killed cleric Hikmatullah, head of the Kandahar provincial religious council, with two other civilians, and wounded 15 others,” explained Toryali Wesa, the governor of Kandahar.

The bomber appears to have hid his explosives in his turban when he arrived at the funeral in the city's Red Mosque.

Relatives of Afghan President Hamid Karzai and cabinet members were at the funeral but escaped injury.
